GRAMMY Award Winner, Two-Time EMMY Nominee, Dom Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actor, music scholar, historian, record collector, and all-around music geek, which makes him absolutely perfect for Bothering the Band.

Fronted by super talented singer/songwriter Ms. Mariel Loveland, Best Ex might be a name you don’t recall, but the band is certainly familiar. It was so much fun to bother Mariel Loveland during a tough time in which we both found fun in this dumb questions about war stories of braces and Trypophobia.

Ken Reid is a goddamn renaissance man. He is a standup comedian based in Boston, but he also used to punk-rock out in a band called 30 Seconds Over Tokyo. Ken hosts a super fun podcast called TV Guidance Counselor, and we are happy to bother him.

Sometimes the universe gives you a good gift. Raelyn Nelson, granddaughter of Willie, is a gift that fell in my proverbial lap. Forging her own gifted path, she is part Loretta Lynn, part Cheap Trick, part Ramones. Her music moves my soul and I have kept it on repeat since she agreed to do this dumb interview.

Rock-n-roll needs people like Pyn Doll of Prince of Lilies. Pure, honest, hard rock is rare, trust me. Also, what’s rare is his dedication to the craft and fans, such as myself. He bent over backwards just to do this interview.

A renaissance woman in every sense of the word, Noël Wells is a writer, a director, a comedian, and an accomplished musician. Best known for her stint on Saturday Night Live, she was so gracious to let us bother her, and we are very thankful.

One half of the world-renowned pioneering electronic outfit, Thievery Corporation (with Eric Hilton), Rob Garza is 100% of GARZA, a collaborative musical experience conjured up by the man himself. Bothering Rob was a sonic blast of fun, combining psychedelic electronica with a string octet in an immersive, designed space.

A few years ago, I was introduced to the wonderfully weird sounds of Electric Six and I cannot believe I got to bother, Dick Valentine, the lead singer of said band.

Getting to bother Rob, Jake, and Julia of The Foxies is owed directly to my amazing compatriot Lauren Alexis Wood who had the pleasure to interview this fantastic band a few months ago.

Back with another skanking ska edition of Bothering the Band, and in the studio we have the one-and-only Lino Trujillo of Hepcat. Personally, I am honored to be on the radio with him, because Hepcat was such a big influence as a ska kid, so this is a dream come true. Dance wid’ me and Lino!

Broken Witt Rebels are set for fire and we got to bother Danny Core, whose powerful soul-influenced vocals preside over the songs and lyrics like a smiling tiger that may or may not attack you depending on the vibe of the night.

We got to sit down at a Rainforest Cafe and bother the inspired drummer, Francesca Impastato, and the badass bassist, Justin Canavaciol of Macseal, an ever-evolving indie-rock/emo-pop outfit from Long Island, New York.

Cellist, string composer, and sometimes bassist for The Last Bison, Amos Housworth, a man of many talents. Their song “Switzerland” hold a special place in my heart, a gift given to me by Pandora a lifetime ago, thus making this jam session of Bothering the Band that much more special.

A rock band from Redlands, California, I’m Glad It’s You has seen tragedy and triumph. At the helm of IGIY, Kelley Bader is the captain of tidal emotions which stem from real life and make believe, making Kelley perfect for us to bother.

Get ready to fall in love with KIN, the London-based trio who’s busting out atmospheric indie pop blended with electronic keys and catchy guitar riffs. Their sound is unique, dynamic, and apt for evolution. It was great to bother them.

Lead by Daniel Sheron, Balto is an outstanding pure rock-n-roll band with a grand story, filled with evolution and endless adventure. Getting to bother him was a kismet honor, because not only is he an inspiration, he is also a good friend.

Chelzzz is a unique voice in the hip-hop landscape. To put it bluntly, she is unlike any rapper you have ever seen or heard, doubtless. She will either love you or cut you, but you better get on the Chelzzz train now, because she is on the cusp of blowing up.

As the drummer and percussionist for the iconic ska band Hepcat, Greg Narvas made his bones in the scene when it was still new to South California. As a lifelong ska fan, it was an absolute honor to bother Greg.

From punk to folk, Frank Turner has had many careers in his career. A British Bruce Springsteen, as he has been dubbed, the singer-songwriter has released eight albums, published books, founded a festival, shared the stage with some legendary acts, and played thousands of shows. It took a pandemic to slow him down enough for us to bother him, so get ready for some rubbish questions with brilliant answers from the one-and-only Frank Turner.

As a fan first, it was thrilling to bother Lauren Denitzio, the driving force of Worriers, a fantastic, yet difficult to pin down, melodic punk band, about everything from rollerskating to Waffle House.
